STELIOS TSIOLAS was born in Cyprus. He began composing at the age of twelve. At fifteen he began performing his own compositions at local music festivals.
In 1974 war broke out in Cyprus. Turkey invaded Cyprus. Stelios Tsiolas served in the Cypriot armed forces for two years. In August 1974 Stelios Tsiolas along with another 250,000 Greek Cypriots were forced out of their homes. After finishing his army service, in December 1976 he migrated to Australia.
