The concert was watched by 4,500 people.
(November) Stelios Tsiolas orchestrated 9 Greek songs and 9 Classical songs for Eftyhias Kyriakou Concert at the Melba Hall. Douglas Heywood conducted the First Part of the Concert – The Classical – and Stelios Tsiolas conducted the
Second Part of the Concert – The Greek. It was hailed as a wonderful
experience by all involved and the audience enjoyed the event enormously.

(March/April) Composed music for the play Patris, performed at the Renaissance Theatre, Kew. Sell out success more than 6,000 people attended the performances. Live music was performed by Mary Thomas on piano, Erin McCann on violin and Stelios Tsiolas Guitar and Vocals.

orchestrated six songs for well-renowned singer Michalis Hatzigiannis.
Stelios Tsiolas conducted the Victorian Concert Orchestra on the opening
night at Hamer Hall, while Douglas Heywood, the Conductor-in-Residence,
conducted the Victorian Concert Orchestra on Saturday and Sunday Nights.

(September) Stelios Tsiolas participates in the opening ceremony of the 2004
Paraolympic Games in Athens. He is the choir master of the 30 chorister
group from Melbourne. This group with another 670 choristers from all over
the world participated in the opening ceremony.

1996 (November) Stelios Tsiolas was the musical director of the performance for his Holiness Patriarch Bartholomeau during his visit in Australia and performed at the Concert Hall the event Greekness.

17th - BREAD, EDUCATION FREEDOM. A concert dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising in 1973. Rena Hatzilepos, Pepy Lanos, Spyros Falieros, Michalis Kyrios and the Hellenic Chorus participated in this concert.
3rd - CYPRIOT AND MACEDONIAN ECHOES. A concert commissioned by the Music Board of the Australia Council and presented in the DEMETRIA Festival under the auspices of the Cypriot Youth of Melbourne and Victoria and the PanMacedonian Association. Rena Hatzilepos, Pepy Lanos, Spyros Falieros, and the Hellenic Chorus
participated in this concert.
(June) Stelios Tsiolas in association with Barbara Karanikolas - author and coordinator, Sofia Sfiroera - directress, and Maria Kourmadia -choreographer, presented the musical IMMORTAL SPIRIT, at Dallas Brooks Hall. The show was under the auspices of EVANGELISTRIA COLLEGE. The HELLENIC CHORUS appeared in the production.
(July) Composed/Conducted the I DO NOT FORGET concert, a collection of political songs, at the St. Kilda National Theatre. Rena Hatzilepos, Pepy Lanos, Kostas Tsicaderis, Mimis Sophocleous and the Hellenic Chorus
participated in this concert.
1989 (August) He was invited by the Cypriot Government (the Ministry for Cypriots Abroad), to tour the island of Cyprus and present the modern oratorio AT DAWN. The State Orchestra of Cyprus and the PNEVMATIKI ESTIA CHOIR performed the work and the composer conducted the concerts. The concerts were performed on the 31st of August until the 8th of September 1989 in all the free cities of Cyprus, and were under the auspices of the wife of the President of Cyprus, Mrs. Vasiliou.
1989 (September) World premiere of the modern operetta PANDORA'S LAND, composed by Stelios Tsiolas. The operetta was conducted by Douglas Heywood, directed by Tom Fitzgerald, and took place at the Caulfield Arts Complex. The work was launched by the Honourable Minister for the Arts, Clyde Holding. The last official bicentennial activity.
(November) Stelios Tsiolas in association with director Thanasis Makrigiorgos and the Greeek Women's Cultural League, "PNEVMATIKI ESTIA" presented the operetta SUNSET AT THE ISLANDS, at the Melbourne Town Hall. The
work was written by Barbara Karanikolas. Stelios Tsiolas orchestrated and conducted the CONCORDIA CAMERATA and the AUSTRALIAN -GREEK CHOIR.
1988 (March) He was invited to Canberra, where he performed the modern Oratorio AT DAWN, as part of the activities of
the Canberra Greek Festival.
(July) Due to public demand, he repeated the performance of FREEDOM TONIGHT, a collection of political songs at Melba Hall, University of Melbourne for the anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. Connie Carra, Lefteris Vrahnas, Rena Hatzilepos were among the soloists who performed.
(August) He was one of seven composers invited by the Greek Ministry of Culture to stage two concerts in Athens and one in Cyprus. The main theme of the concerts revolved around the "musical echoes of the Greeks in
Diaspora".
(December) He presented the AUSTRALIAN-GREEK CHOIR in their annual concert ECHOES OF THE NIGHT at the Northcote Amphitheatre, is a selection of Greek popular songs representative of the historical span of Modern
Greek Music.
1987 (May) Staged/conducted the ROCK EXPERIENCE at the University of Melbourne, Prince Phillip Theatre, 10th Annual Festival of Greek Progressive Youth of Australia - G.P.Y.A. Gina Grammatikos and Michalis
Kyrios performed. In 1987 he was funded by the Australia Council and the Victorian Ministry for the Arts to establish the AUSTRALIAN-GREEK CHOIR - International repertoire.
(September) He launched the AUSTRALIAN-GREEK CHOIR through ECHOCHROMATA, a song-cycle of Byzantine, demotic and contemporary Greek music. The performance was held at the Great Hall,
National Gallery. Gina Grammatikos, Michalis Kyrios and the Australian- Greek Choir performed.

(September) Douglas Heywood conducted his modern oratorio AT DAWN, part of the SPOLETTO activities. The CAMERATA ORCHESTRA performed and the CAMBERWELL CHORALE sang. The soloists were Gina Grammatikos and Lefteris Vrahnas while narration was done by Thanos Vavitsas and Rena Frangioudakis.

The production deals with the enormous social and cultural changes migrants are confronted by in this 'new' country. Written by Kostas Alexiades. Music composed by Stelios Tsiolas. The show toured Greece in 1985.
